Hi, I have a chair that has spray paint splattered on it. It is protected leather. What can I do with it?

Good to have pictures...

You can see how Luis removed the white paint from this red LV pigmented bag with Prep-7.7 non-destructively.

Leather Types:
Looks like this leather types is non-absorbent (need to confirm with water droplet test if it pools on the surface).

Paint Over-Spray:
Looks not too serious, by the time the paint have reach the leather; the solvent may have evaporated so the solvent damages if any is not that serious if the finish topcoat is pretty new and strong.

Possible Paint Damages:
The solvent of the paint may have etched the topcoat and may reveal as spots of different luster; this can be corrected by re-topcoating with matching luster Topcoat-72 of gloss, satin or matte.

Color Touch-Up:
If some spots have deeper penetration – the color may have been dissolved already and only reveal when the paint is removed; thus matching color touch-up may be necessary with Micro-Pigment-54.

Here are the recommended products for your consideration:

Kit P2 – Here is the Prep-7.7 that does remove the paint “non-destructively”. Protection-B+ will impart a non-stick surface against sticky soiling or making it easier for removal.

Leather DoctorŽ Pigmented Leather - Standard Care Kit P2

Leather DoctorŽ pigmented leather care Kit P2 is designed for non-absorbent and stimulated leathers; primarily to take care of its appearances through stain removal, cleaning and protection. It is design to match the level of soiling with restorative, periodic and routine cleaning system. Restorative cleaning is the ultimate process to removes unwanted accumulated soiling; periodic cleaning is cleaning before soiling causes damages to the finishing; and routine cleaning with a non-stick, rub resistant protection helps keep leather in a more attractive and healthy state, while preventing premature wear. Additional structural care of leather for hydrating stiff leathers and replenishing diminishing fatliquor to maintain its suppleness especially through stitching rows and micro-crazing surfaces are found in Kit P4.

The color re-touch-up is necessary depending on the solvency of the paint and the toughness of the leather topcoat will decide on the outcome of the removal.

If Prep-7.7 has no response...then we have to resort to stripping of the paint with Stripper-2.3.

If you need a color touch-up here's the color system for standby...

I think I have covered the unexpected too, except "color matching" maybe too far ahead until the need is at hand.
