Crumpled looks may refer to the leather structure that is dried of its fatliquor that cause it to crease and wrinkle; that eventually crack when flexed.
The solution is to hydrate the dried leather first so that the entire thickness of the leather is relaxed and plump-up; thereafter fatliquor is applied so that it will coats the fibers evenly where the hydrator goes to make the leather soft and strong with suppleness when dry; this is first to be done.
Cracks requires a physical repair with leather Bond-3D with leather fibrils to the cracks.
The shine is the topcoat; its either gloss or matte for aniline leathers.
It would be better to see what you have in mind; as there are varieties of lambskin finishes; and to match the original is what's important in this project.
