hello everyone
I'm new to the forum and know nothing about the care or restoration of leather so I'm asking for some help please.
I've inherited a leather cartridge bag dating from the 1920s and would welcome some advice on how to renew and care for it.
I live in the UK and have attached some photos of the bag.
Any advice or comments would be gratefully received.
Thanks

This is hog skin, vegetable-tanned leather that could have been oiled for some waterproofing effect.

To Renew or Rejuvenate:

Step-1 - Restorative Cleaning:
By Degreaser-2.2 > Acidifier-2.0 system.

Step-2 - Leather Structure Rejuvenating:
By Hydrator-3.3 > Fatliquor-5.0 > Hydrator-3.3 system

Step-3 - Repairs
By Bond-3D tint with Aniline-21 and smooth repairs with Bond-7A

Step-4 - Secondary Effect and Waterproofing Conditioning and Transparent Dyeing:
By EffectOil-2.8 concentrate with mix of Aniline-21 (dark-brown/red-brown) to create matching
appearance.

Step-6 - Topcoating
Option of Gloss with AnilineTop-76G or satin with AnilineTop-76S.

Step-7 - Protection
With Protector-B+

Questions are welcome to further discussion.
