Questions!

I called you yesterday with some questions on how to darken my brand new Oliver Sweeny shearling jacket. We discussed using the fatliquor and hidrator for this. I tested the jacket and it does absorb water. The pic attached is the final look I want. I will send you some real pics of the coat later. This picture is how they advertise the jacket online, but when received the color looks much lighter. I like that this picture looks like a dark chocolate color with some shine. That is the look I'm going for.

Oliver Sweeny Shearling coat as advertised: (dark chocolate and some shine) I like this!!!

Here are some real pictures of the coat. Please let me know what would work to darken it as the previous pictures.

With these pictures, what would be the correct way to darken the new jacket to look like the first picture i sent?

>>> We discussed using the fatliquor and hidrator for this. I tested the jacket and it does absorb water.

Plan A* is to used:

Hydrator 3.3 http://www.leatherdoctor.com/hydrator-3-3/
and Fatliquor 5.0 http://www.leatherdoctor.com/fatliquor-5-0/
system to increase the color saturation.
The leather will be stronger and softer as well.

>>> I like that this picture looks like a dark chocolate color with some shine

Plan B* is to impart coloring to the finishes and since it has a ‘savage’ appearance transparent coating dyestuff like Aniline 76 dark-brown will bring the panel close to the seam dark chocolate and sealing the dyestuff with desired level of shine is determine by Aniline Top 76G. The refinishing process sequence is as follows:

1* Adhesor 73 http://www.leatherdoctor.com/adhesor-73/
This process will seal uneven absorption rate and promote a good adhesion for the coating dyestuff Aniline-76.

2* Aniline 76 http://www.leatherdoctor.com/aniline-76/
This aniline transparent coating dyestuff will reduce the color difference with a beauty of depth and still retain the savage look of the jacket.

3* Aniline Top 76 http://www.leatherdoctor.com/anilinetop-76/
This matching topcoat seals the dyestuff and imparts the desired gloss or satin luster.

4* Protector B http://www.leatherdoctor.com/protector-b/ or Protector B Plus http://www.leatherdoctor.com/protector-b-1/
This product imparts a soft buttery-feel against rub and sticky soiling, either leather scented or scentless.

>>> I know sometimes the pictures look darker than real, since the shearling has a natural shine. Can you post a close up like I did for you?

Here is another view from the back - Shine will be determine when a topcoat AnilineTop-76 is applied.

I had a real leather bane coat (https://leathernjacket.com/product/bane-coat-dark-knight-rises/) that I bough last year but its color somehow faded so I tried getting it waxed in brown. Worked perfectly for me!
