This ottoman needs deep cleaning and may need restoration. Many stains all over of unknown nature

How should we try to clean this since we don't know the nature of the stains? We want to try to clean, rinse, hydrate and see how it looks and then decide if we need to restore it with dye.

Any problem working out the total sq inches of the leather including the bottom if any,
Otherwise give me the dimension.
We need to determine the optimum amount of Fatliquor-5.0 require prior to commencing the processes.

Tips:

Standby estimated 294gm of Fatliquor-5.0 for replenishing the leather from dry cracking.
Leather is only allow to be completely dry after Fatliquor-5.0 in a continuous wet process

>>> This ottoman needs deep cleaning and may need restoration.

This leather is identified as Vegetable-Tanned.
Is there a topcoat, we have to check the unused area and need to refinished after restoration cleaning as well.

>>> Many stain all over of unknown nature.

Vegetable-Tanned leather is more pH sensitive than the common chrome-tanned leathers and liquid stain may denature it and without sufficient fatliquor may leads to cracking, thus replenishing the leather with Fatliquor-5.0 up to 14% prevents cracking.

>>> How should we try to clean this since we don't know the nature of the stains?

Prep-4.4 > Clean-3.8 > Rinse-3.0 system will be used as the first phase of stain removal for general soiling including any dye stains.
Degreaser-2.2 > Acidifier-2.0 will follow next before the leather is completely dry. Any darkening effect by grease or oil will be treated and remove accordingly.
Hydrator-3.3 > Fatliquor-5.0 system follows.
Estimated 294gm of Fatliquor-5.0 need to be replenished; as the water content evaporates the remainder is applied.
Hydrator-3.3 is also used to remove penetrated stains to resurface and “reverse transfer” with skintight towel helps trap wick up foreign residue in this case after Fatliquor-5.0.
When completely dry Vachetta-2.8 is applied with an even appearance throughout.
When dry will need an inspection and unknown stains will be treated further.

>>> We want to try to clean, rinse, hydrate and see how it looks and then decide if we need to restore it with dye.

Aniline-76 system recommended to camouflage any residual stains if any.

Not much difference.

By weight goes by gm or grams.
By volume goes by ml or milliliters

Looks like the existing topcoat need to removed during this continuous wet process.

You may used Razor-60 or fine sanding on one section to see the appearance should be more even out.

If so, during Hydrator-3.3 will help to balance out the different in appearance.

A light AnilineTop-21/76 gloss will even out and restore to a new appearance.

Anyway show your progress if my recommendation applies.

This picture shows existing damaging topcoat - try removing it and see how it looks during wet after initial cleaning.
