1520 This is the origin color from inside .

1521 This is after I touch up but is not perfect cos after I do the finishing the color change and look like have two tone of color ,end up I dye the whole bag.

1522
This is after I do a cleaning using leather cleaner and the color came out .as you can see the lighter color is my work I have mix and match. This is what I say two tone after I done the finishing the color change.

1525 Do you have any idea to dye the bag by not touch the thread ,actually the original color white .

Thank roger .

The thread is unavoidable when doing a color refinishing.

Picture 1 is a two-tone finish, your refinishing looks mono-tone.

FYI
From the texture of the leather, this is a pigskin leather.

So Roger how can it be solve ? Can it dye back the origin color ?

Roger Koh
08-13-2013, 03:53 AM
The possibility to restore back to the original two tone is very slim, almost impossible.

The difficulties being now that the leather is no more in a single dimension like a sheet of paper but in three dimension makes it more difficult to recreate.

By looking at it from pictures, we are merely making a guess, not knowing the actual process thus may turns out differently.

>>>What if i dye back to the nearest colour?
From the original, the finishes looks two-tone (wipe-effect), where the darker tone is first applied follows with the lighter tone and is then wipe off at the tip before finish with a gloss topcoat.

>>>Will your dye stay ?
For a coating application, a foundation, sealer or primer like Adhesor-73 will ensure promotion without peeling.

>>>How do i order the training kit will it help ?
I think the prices is already given to you, just indicate which kit you wish and we will prepare you a PayPal invoice.

You need understanding how color fashion is created before you know what you are doing.

For your information, we have just concluded a private training for an Australian customer base on practical hands-on with the 4 training kits and theory from the “Leather Care Technician Handbook” by Roger Koh.

So the products from the training kit will still require some understanding of the various finishes types of how it was original created and what can be done and how to do it.

At the moment i have a furniture company which sell leather sofa from ITAIY request me to become they're warranty agent for repairing accident stain ,accident damage and do you advice me to take the challenge using your product ?

Yes!
With actual hand-on training we can show the sample result for accident stains and damages like scratches, cuts, abrasion and tears including leather shrinkage from heat damage.

And every delivery has the potential of physical damages especially to Wax Pull-Up leathers.

It is important to realize that all repairs and stains removal has to return the leather back to its original finishes and this is where the Leather Problem Solving Guide according to finishes type comes handy.

Hi roger I have cleaned up the previous colour , wish to get back to the closer colour which I think glossy finishing . It will be very grateful if you can prepare a kit for me thank.

Roger Koh

A glossy finishing may be accomplished with a gloss topcoat either MicroTop-54G or a heavy PigTop-64G.

You may pick your choice from this link: http://www.leatherdoctor.com/servlet/the-263/Leather-Doctor-MicroTop-dsh-54/Detail

Or

http://www.leatherdoctor.com/servlet/the-267/Leather-Doctor-PigTop-dsh-64/Detail

A two-tone translucent coloring effect can be selected from this link:
http://www.leatherdoctor.com/servlet/the-580/Leather-Doctor%C2%AE-2Tone-dsh-37/Detail

As the original is a fashion effect created with the grain having a darker shade and the grooves having a lighter shade on a flat surface. Redoing on a three dimension may pose more difficulties.

The secondary color using 2-Tone-37 may be off the original as application technique differs.

I choose the microtop-54G for finishing .

The customer still prefer lighter blue without two-tone effect if there is no choice . I hardly understand the above two links which you mentioned...

Be grateful you can advice me a kit that come with blue and white color that I can mix to the nearest .

Thanks Roger.

Leather Doctor Thickener-48

1678
Leather Doctor® Thickener-48 is an auxiliary waterbased thickening agent to stabilize color during spraying. It is to adjust the flow of color to improve hold-up especially on vertical panels and antiquing two-tone fashion leathers. It is highly effective and maintains the viscosity over the period of use.

1679
Leather Doctor Kit Sa7.cl – Semi-Aniline Leather Color Refinishing Kit
Leather Doctor® Kit Sa7.cl, micro-pigmented leather color refinishing kit is design for a holistic restoration approach to not only the finishes but also rejuvenating the leather for suppleness. Most of these repairs may range from missing finishes to abrading damages into the leather structure. Some expose areas may be contaminated with foreign soiling that includes conditioners, protectors, body oil, grease and sweat or alkaline overexposure from cleaners. A comprehensive repair for a long-term lasting solution will require a holistic approach to deal with both the exposed structure and surface finishes. The practical and functional softness and strength of the leather depends on the health of the structure with average thickness between 0.9 to 1.2mm from stiffness and cracking. The aesthetic aspect of the leather finishes averages 0.02mm (or 20 micron) in thickness for practical compressing and flexing from cracking. A leather-safe restoration system begins by stripping with Stripper-2.3 and rinsing with Rinse-3.0. Degreasing with Degreaser-2.2 follows with Acidifier-2.0. The suffix numbers of these four products denotes it pH value for recharging the protein fiber ionic positive besides the act of decontamination. The leather integrity is revitalizes once the ionic attraction between the positive protein fiber and its negative leather constituents like the tanning agent and fatliquor (fat, oil and water) is initiated. Leather rejuvenating system for softness and strength is accomplishes with Hydrator-3.3 follows with Fatliquor-5.0. Surface uneven absorption is seals with Adhesor-73 to reduce the need for color over-coating thus increase its flexibility and stretchability from premature cracking. Protector-B+ imparts a non-stick rub-resistant surface with a buttery feel, reduces noises that translate into less friction wear. As the leather surface is well lubricated it reduces compression when comes to heavy body contact thus reduces compressed creases and wrinkles.

Leather Doctor Micro-54

1680
Leather Doctor® Micro-54 is design for micro pigmented leathers also known as semi-aniline. This is a waterbased compact resin blend high performance UV fade resistant pigment color coat.

MicroTop-54 is the matching sealing topcoat in this pigment series system.

Sixteen (16) standard colors are available for direct application or mix to match to produce a secondary or tertiary color.

These are probably the remnants of your stripping off the secondary coating.

Comparing your picture from post #1 above

>>>" This is after I do a cleaning using leather cleaner and the color came out .as you can see the lighter color is my work I have mix and match. This is what I say two tone after I done the finishing the color change."

Using leather Eraser-4 with Stripper-2.3 may perform a better result.
