Questions!

My sons Christmas Pj's (although prewashed a few times) bled red dye which resulted in a pink stain on our white couch as you can see from the photo. Which products do I need to correct this problem?

And can you recommend any other products to use on a couch as far as routine maintenance?

Thank you in advance for your time

You have not mention whether this stain has been attempted, making it easier to remove from the original state.

Moreover, if the leather has a standard finish, then the stain should be lifted off the finish without causing any concern to the leather.

Product to be used would be Prep-7.7, apply to the stain with the help of either the foam brush or the horsehair brush, which ever you think more convenience to apply the Prep-7.7 direct to the stain.

A cut out paper towel is ready to place over the Prep-7.7 and squeeze through the paper without air spaces.

Leave the Prep-7.7 for the next 24 hours, if the stain is on the vertical section, you can use a kitchen cling wrapper to hold it from falling off.

When peeling off the paper towel to inspect proves not satisfactory change to a new towel and repeat for the next 24 hours and this can be repeated to another 24 hours to a total of 72 hours.

So write the time and the day on the first application to keep a record of the process.

When the stain is reverse transfer successfully, remove the sticky residue using Cleaner-3.8 follows with Rinse-3.0 to a normal healthy squeaky feel even when dry.

Any area or location that darkens when wet will need to be soften with Hydrator-3.3 follows with Fatliquor-5.0 (show some pictures and I will recommend if it is necessary).

If the stain areas feels the same as new unused areas, then the Protection-B+ is what you will need – just spray and wipe. This protection will impart the leather with a non-stick and rub resistant surface.

You have asked about the routine maintenance and Protection-B+ answer your question on which product to use.

Cleaning with Cleaner-3.8 using a horsehair brush to lightly agitate follows with towel extraction is to remove soiling follows with Rinse-3.0 and towel extract until the towel shows clean. This simple system will keep your leather perpetually white and beautiful.

Protection-B+ can either be use alone or after drying from Rinse-3.0

See this Semi-Aniline Problem Solving Guide for other soiling problems.
